The early 1980s saw Northern Soul go underground once again. Wigan Casino closed its doors in 1981, Blackpool Mecca followed in 1982, and Rotherham’s Clifton Hall soon after. But in 1983, a new heartbeat emerged on the North West coast: Morecambe Central Pier.

From alldayers in the ’70s to the legendary nights of the ’80s and ’90s, Morecambe became the place where everything came together — oldies, disco, funk, and pure soul energy. When the Pier faded, the Carlton (now the Alhambra) kept the flame alive, carrying the scene forward with unforgettable nights of music and unity.

Now, we’re bringing it all back. The sounds, the atmosphere, the spirit of those iconic events — reborn for one incredible night.
