About the event
The early 1980s. Northern Soul had gone underground again. Wigan casino had shut in 1981 Blackpool Mecca shut in 1982 Rotherham Clifton hall in 1982 also.
Fortunately for us in the North West Morecambe central pier opened in 1983 ( but there had been some Alldayers in the 70s) .
Wigan was latterly oldies Blackpool disco Rotherham funky Morecambe was a bit of everything, after the Pier the Carlton ( now Alhambra) carried on for some while.
We intend to relive the sounds and atmosphere of the 1980-90s events Morecambe soul scene. Hope you can join us.
